Kheer is the most popular desert. I want to share with you my recipe it may use in fast also. A crunchy kheer made using
6 cups milk
1 1/2 cups cabbage
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tbsp chopped almonds (badam)
1 tbsp blanched and chopped pistachios
1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
a few saffron (kesar) strands strands
- Heat the milk in a broad and deep vessel and add the cabbage, mix well and cook for 10 minutes, while stirring continuously.
- Add the sugar, cardamom and saffron and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add half of the pistachios and almonds, mix well and cook for more 5 minutes.
- Transfer to the serving bowls and garnish with remaining almond and pistachios.
- Serve hot or …chilled
